Following his death, Mr Burns' family paid tribute to him. They said in a statement: "Warren was a much-loved son, brother, partner and father, which he absolutely loved. Mr Burns died in hospital on Sunday, May 21, after he was assaulted at an address on Heysham Avenue in Fallowfield, said GMP.
