‘We should be really proud’: Cummins fires back after England dispute sportsmanship
Australian captain Pat Cummins believes that some of the culprits will lose their MCC membership.
Bairstow was stumped at the end of the 52nd over when he walked out of his crease as Australian wicketkeeper Alex Carey rolled the ball at the stumps, knocking the bails off with a shocked Bairstow two paces out of his ground. “The first thing that needs to be said is that it is out,” Stokes said. “The things I had to consider out there was the fact it was the last ball of the over and I questioned the umpires as to whether they had called over.
McCullum had the same view, despite having claimed dismissals in similar fashion when he was New Zealand wicketkeeper and then captain.
