Find July 4th parades, celebrations with fireworks and drone shows plus entertaining events and museums you’ve been wanting to explore.

The Port of Los Angeles presented “Cars and Stripes Forever!” on Friday, June 28, 2024, in San Pedro. The popular early July 4th celebration included a classic car show, live bands and concluded with a fireworks display over the port. Parade line-up, 9:30 a.m. July 4 ; parade begins 9:45 a.m. from 4415 Lakeview Canyon Road, Westlake Village.

Harry Connick Jr. and Thomas Wilkins conducting the Los Angeles Philharmonic, 7:30 p.m. Tickets $15 and up; see children’s tickets on the website. Location, 2301 N. Highland Ave., Hollywood.The City of Lancaster presents the event that includes music by the Doc Brown Band, family activities and food trucks, 5-10 p.m. Gates open, 5 p.m. ; grandstand seating, opens at 6 p.m. ; band performs, 7 p.m. Fireworks, 9:15 p.m. Antelope Valley Fair and Event Center, 2551 W. Ave., H., Lancaster.

Kiwanis Club of Simi Valley presents the event that includes music, a kid’s fun zone, beer and wine garden, food booths and arts and crafts vendors. Doors open, 3 p.m. Fireworks, 9 p.m. Free admission. A VIP admission is available: $100; $45 ages 12 and younger . Entertainment: Silver Lining ; FamDamly ; Forever Rod . Fifteen dancers use synchronized choreography while holding mirrors, 4 p.m. July 13-14. The dance is part of the Getty’s “Ever Present” performance series. The dance is free, but a timed-entry reservation to the Getty Center is required. The dance is staged outdoors at the Getty Center’s Arrival Plaza. Parking $25 .
