Fiji ’s men’s team have used an unconventional opposed session with the Tongan Women’s team as they prepare for their Pacific Championships clash with Papua New Guinea .reported Fiji Bati were training at Albert Park in Suva on Tuesday, before engaging the Tongan Women’s team in an opposed session.
The head-to-head training session went for nearly 40 minutes with onlookers surprised at the competitive collisions between the men and the women. “It was a great experience. We kind of got thrown into the deep, and it was a huge adjustment. It doesn’t help when they’re twice our size, but it all goes towards the preparation, and I feel as though it did us well.
