An investigation is underway after a man fatally shot his ex-wife and another man and then injured two others while they were having Thanksgiving dinner at a home in Spring Branch, HPD said. htx hounews kprc2 click2houston springbranch
Police said when they arrived at the scene, they located a two-story residence with multiple people shot inside. According to investigators, a man and a woman were shot to death and another man and a 15-year-old were transported to the hospital in critical condition.
It was reported the family just finished eating dinner when the ex-husband of the woman forced his way through the back door. He then began firing multiple shots inside and reloaded his weapon, HPD said. Investigators said the suspect fled the area in an unknown direction. “The families were celebrating, they just finished eating,” Houston Police Department Assistant Chief Patricia Cantu said.
Officers said four other people who were inside the home heard the gunfire and ran into other rooms. They were not harmed. At this time, police said it’s not known if the woman lived at the location where the shooting happened. The relationship between the 15-year-old, the man in the hospital, and the man that was fatally shot is also not known at this time.An investigation is ongoing at this time.
