Following President Joe Biden's decision not to seek re-election, top Democrats are rallying behind Vice President Kamala Harris as the party's nominee for the upcoming presidential race.
More and more top democrats are endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris as the party's nominee in the race for the White House hours after President Joe Biden announced he would step down. But not every Democrat praising President Biden has offered Harris an endorsement. Democratic Sens. Jon Tester of Montana and Peter Welch of Vermont stopped short of throwing their support behind Harris.
Former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced Sunday that they are endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for the Democratic nomination for president after President Biden said he would not seek re-election.
