A handful of former stars from the midstate are getting their NCAA seasons going at the top level this winter.
Plenty of those squads feature talent from District 3 and the midstate as a whole. Here’s a rundown of the former Central Pa. hoopers who are now playing at the Division I level.Alvarez has taken a winding road from Franklin County to Division I, playing at Houston Christian last year and now averaging 10.4 points a night for the Rider Broncs.The one-time L-L standout plays big minutes for John Becker’s Vermont team, averaging 8.8 points a night as a stretch forward for the Catamounts.
