She said earlier this year that she was "done being shy," and tennis star Naomi Osaka has duly found her voice at the 2020 US Open.

Osaka, 22, will face Victoria Azarenka in Saturday's final after defeating Jennifer Brady on Thursday. Having produced some of the best tennis of her young career on the court, off it Osaka has also made a statement at this year's tournament. She has worn face coverings displaying the name of a different Black victim of alleged police or racist violence in the US -- from Breonna Taylor in her first round-match against Misaki Doi to Philando Castile in the semifinal victory over Brady.
