I am especially in love with the green hues the brand has.
Now that the rest of my face was all set, I moved on to my eyes. I started by blending Gumby right above my crease using a big fluffy eye brush, and the moment I did, I audibly gasped because of how pigmented it was.
It also blended flawlessly, and I knew instantly this eye look was going to be fire. Next, with a firmer blending brush, I worked Jungle, a deeper green, into my crease and the outer corners, making sure the two shadows blended seamlessly. Gumby leans a bit blue and I wanted to warm up the tone a little, so I worked Congo Basin around the outer edges of where I had applied Gumby with a fluffy blending brush. Before adding the shimmery shades, I lightly dusted what was left on my brush of Jungle onto my lid. Then, I applied Unexpected over it on my crease using a flat eye shadow brush. I was so excited by this color that after I added it I couldn't stop staring at myself in the mirror. It's a beautiful foil shade, and you don't need to use a lot to make sure you get the shimmery payoff. Next, I swiped on Green Valley, focusing it on the area from the middle of my lid to my inner corner, creating an almost ombré effect where it blended with Unexpected. No look of mine is complete without an inner corner highlight, so I used a firm, pointed brush to add more of Green Valley to that area. After a few swipes of mascara, I was done.I had high hopes for the Coloured Raine shadows since I've been impressed by the brand's eye shadow palettes and matte liquid lipsticks, but I was truly blown away by how pigmented each shade was. They all blended together seamlessly and had great color payoff; these are truly high-quality eye shadows for just $7 each, which is exactly why it won a Best of Beauty Award.
