For the second day in a row, temperatures are expected to soar on Friday. It hit 100 in Salt Lake City on Thursday, tying a record set in 2007, and highs in the upper 90s are expected on Friday. It will be somewhat cooler on Saturday — closer to 90 — and a big drop is expected on Sunday, into the low to mid-70s for Father’s Day/Juneteenth. And it will remain there on Monday, when many Utahns will have the day off for the observed Juneteenth holiday.Temperatures will climb once again — to the mid-80s on Tuesday, about 90 on Wednesday and the mid-90s on Thursday.
After triple-digit high temperatures in southern Utah on Friday, that area will also get a bit of a break. St. George can expect a high of 95 on Saturday and 88 on Sunday, before temperatures bounce back up to the mid-90s on Monday and the low 100s on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
