): The author of this article should consider Plato’s admonition that “man is only as good as his facts.” The San Diego Food Bank and the North County Food Bank chapter partners with more than 500 organizations throughout the county to help families access free and nutritious food. In addition, the federal government provides over 100 programs that each provide nutrition assistance spending $100 million a year in addition to the food stamps program .
All food and meals are provided to everyone without charge regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability. Anyone can access these resources by simply calling 211.
