The Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon says “there is a place” for Elon Musk to reward Content Creators on Twitter as people have to pay for verification and get no rewards or benefits for bringing traffic to the site.
“Look at YouTube’s model … they share revenue with creators who are bringing revenue to the platform,” Mr Dillon told Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan.
“Nobody’s really making any money on Twitter – you can drive traffic to your website, but you’re not monetising on the platform. “Musk has talked about finding ways to do that, but he really seems to be looking at generating revenue off of these subscriptions rather than sharing revenue with content creators.
“There is a place for him to be rewarding those talented people who are bringing who are in engaging and are bringing a lot of people onto the site. “Those are the people you want to be monetised and happy on your platform and sticking around no matter what silly mistakes you make or what you do because it’s just too valuable to leave it.”
