Arnold Schwarzenegger addresses the future of The Terminator franchise after Terminator: Dark Fate, confirming that he’s done playing the character.
The Terminator star Arnold Schwarzenegger comments on whether he will return to the long-running franchise in the future. Following the success of James Cameron's 1984 original movie, Schwarzenegger would return in all but one of the five subsequent sequels. 2019's Terminator: Dark Fate, the most recent sequel, reunited Schwarzenegger with original star Linda Hamilton and earned mostly positive reviews, but was a major box office disappointment.
“The franchise is not done. I’m done. I got the message loud and clear that the world wants to move on with a different theme when it comes to The Terminator. Someone has to come up with a great idea.
