He replied that the game was in its “full-scale production phase.” However, Nowakowski refused to reveal details about its target release window or technical development process. “The only thing we’re commenting is that we’re not launching in 2026,” he added. Although Nowakowski offered a rather disappointing response regarding The Witcher 4’s target release window, he curbed the disappointment with some good news. He said that future games would release within the next six years, because of which there would be short development windows between The Witcher 4 and its sequels. “In a way, yes, I do believe that further games should be delivered in a shorter period of time – as we had stated before, our plan still is to launch the whole trilogy within a six-year period, so yes, that would mean we would plan to have a shorter development time between TW4 and TW5, betweenTW5 and TW6 and so on,” stated Nowakowski.
