DreamWorks Animation has officially changed The Wild Robot release date for the upcoming sci-fi animated movie.
release date for the upcoming film adaptation of Peter Brown’s bestselling children’s book of the same name.Originally scheduled for a September 20 release, the film has been slightly pushed back for a week, and will now arrive in theaters on September 27, 2024. The animated movie will be debuting in the same month as high-profile movies, including Transformers One and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
“The epic adventure follows the journey of a robot—ROZZUM unit 7134, “Roz” for short — that is shipwrecked on an uninhabited island and must learn to adapt to the harsh surroundings, gradually building relationships with the animals on the island and becoming the adoptive parent of an orphaned gosling,” reads the synopsis.
The Wild Robot is directed by acclaimed animated filmmaker Chris Sanders, who’s best known for his works on iconic movies such as Croods, How to Train Your Dragon, and Lilo & Stitch. It is produced by long-time Kung Fu Panda producer Jeff Hermann. The film will feature the voices of Pedro Pascal as Fink, Catherine O’Hara as Pinktail, Bill Nighy as Longneck, Kit Connor as Brightbill, Stephanie Hsu as robot Vontra, Mark Hamill , Matt Berry , and Ving Rhames .Maggie Dela Paz has been writing about the movie and TV industry for more than four years now.
