The Wheel of Time Season 3 continues to build excitement with the addition of five new cast members and the return of #WOTWednesdays. The upcoming season promises to delve deeper into the story, featuring new characters and challenges for the protagonists.
The Wheel of Time continues to spin, bringing fresh casting announcements ahead of its Season 3 premiere on March 13. Prime Video has unveiled five new additions to the cast, while also confirming the return of #WOTWednesdays, a fan-favorite weekly reveal of news and assets leading up to the season premiere.
Previous weeks have seen other casting confirmations for Season 3, including Shohreh Aghdashloo as the Aes Sedai, Elaida do Avriny a’Roihan, and the Royal Family of Andor, with Olivia Williams, Luke Fetherston, Callum Kerr, and Nuno Lopes cast in those roles. Today, Prime Video introduces five fresh faces to its adaptation of Robert Jordan's bestselling series. Isabella Bucceri (Finally Me, Everything in Between) will portray Faile Bashere, a Saldaean Hunter of the Horn who journeys to the Two Rivers in search of the legendary artifact known as the Horn of Valere.Joining the cast as members of the Taardad Aiel clan are Nukâka Coster-Waldau (Thin Ice) as Bair, a Wise One who channels the One Power and possesses an even more mystical ability. Salóme Gunnarsdóttir (The Lazarus Project, Justice League) takes on the role of Melaine, another Wise One who may not channel but still accesses that same mystical power. Björn Landberg (Galileo Mystery, Unter uns) will portray Rhuarc, the Taardad Aiel's Clan Chief, while Synnøve Macody Lund (Ragnarok, Saw X) will play Melindhra, a Malkieri survivor adopted by the clan. The Season 3 trailer, released at CCXP, offered a glimpse into showrunner Rafe Judkins's plans for the Prime Video series. Moiraine narrates what seems to be an endless cycle of dreams, countless futures where either she or Rand survive, but none where they both do. These events follow Season 2's conclusion, where Rand was declared the Dragon Reborn at Falme. Season 3 will also see Lanfear (Natasha O'Keeffe) grappling with the other Forsaken released by Ishamael (Fares Fares), including the deadly Moghedien (Laia Costa), but perhaps others lurk in the shadows. The Wheel of Time Season 3 premieres on March 13 on Prime Video. Stay tuned to Collider for the latest updates. You can catch up on the previous two seasons now on Prime Video.
