The Well Community for Women is an all-in-one concept geared specifically toward women, who statistically bear a larger portion of child care responsibilities. This is its second San Diego County location.
A San Diego business that offers co-working, child care and parenting workshops under one roof has arrived in North Park. The Well Community for Women celebrated the grand opening of its second San Diego County location on Thursday. The new space at 3810 Bancroft St. right off the I-805 near University Avenue features quiet desk areas for parents and colorful playrooms for kids.
The Well is not a licensed child care center, rather it’s like the YMCA child-watch model, so parents need to stay on site with their kids. The programs accommodate children from 6 weeks to 5 years old, with plans of expanding to older homeschooled students. The business also offers kid-friendly activities, workshops just for parents, networking for women and it rents out the Grossmont location for private events.
