The War and Treaty, the acclaimed husband-and-wife duo, release their new single 'Save Me' from their upcoming fifth album 'Plus One.' The album features collaborations with renowned country producers and a guest appearance by bluegrass star Billy Strings.
Singer/songwriters Tanya Blount-Trotter and Michael Trotter Jr. of The War and Treaty have released ' Save Me ,' the lead single from their upcoming fifth album ' Plus One .' The married duo, who have local roots as Michael Trotter is a native Clevelander, have released a classic-sounding country ballad. Their country-soul sound has earned them multiple Grammy nominations, as well as nominations from the Academy of Country Music , Country Music Association, and the CMT Music Awards.
They have also won back-to-back Duo/Group of the Year prizes from the Americana Music Honors & Awards. 'Plus One' was produced by Trotter in collaboration with Jonathan Singleton (Luke Combs, Chase Rice) and Jesse Frasure (Jelly Roll, Kelsea Ballerini). The album was recorded at the legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals and features 18 tracks and a guest spot from young bluegrass star Billy Strings on the track 'Drink From Me.' The duo, who has opened for stars including Chris Stapleton, Zach Bryan and The Rolling Stones, will hit the road on a 30-plus date tour in March
