The singer's death was announced Wednesday on the band's Instagram page.
"We don’t want your sadness, we just want love and positivity and together we will raise awareness of this terrible disease and look for all available treatment options. It’s gonna be a tough battle but with everyone’s love and support we are going to beat this," he wrote.over the next year and a half on Instagram. A little more than two months after his initial announcement, he shared a photo that showed him lying on a sofa while wearing a baseball cap.
"Hey, I may not be a 100% yet but I’m out here doing it..getting there day by day,” he wrote, adding that he was"overwhelmed" by all the"love and support" from fans., telling fans that he was thrilled to learn that his brain tumor appeared to be “under control" after a recent scan showed that the tumor was"stable."“We couldn’t ask for any more really at this point; a year or so in to this journey," he wrote next to a family photo.
