A major shakeup in State College local radio left a local sports radio void that a team led by Jeff Byers hopes to fill.

The voice of Penn State wrestling is a key part of the launch of a new FOX Sports affiliate looking to cover all things Penn State sports with an emphasis on high school sports and homegrown content with a splash of syndicated content.

“We’re going to be very immersed, obviously, in Penn State and the local high school athletic teams and just trying to get as much coverage to all of that, from as many different angles as we can,” Byers said. That show will kick off 98.7 The Fox’s daily lineup from 6-9 a.m. during the week, followed by the Dan Patrick Show from 9-11 a.m.
