'The View' star Alyssa Farah Griffin hopes O.J. Simpson's death 'gives some peace' to the families of murder victims Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.

The former Donald Trump staffer called the results of Simpson's high-profile trial "a miscarriage of justice" after he was acquitted.Entertainment Weekly's Oscars expert, 'RuPaul's Drag Race' beat reporter, host of 'Quick Drag' Twitter Spaces, and cohost of 'EW's BINGE' podcast. Almost all of the drag content on this site is my fault .

Griffin continued, noting that she wants to honor both Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman — whom Simpson was acquitted of killing in the trial — instead of Simpson."To me, when someone like this passes, really my only thought is, I hope it gives some peace to the family of the victims," she said. "They did win the civil suit after the fact, because I agree that it was a miscarriage of justice, but that doesn't make up for it. So, I hope that it helps them find some peace.

Moments before the show's broadcast, Simpson's family revealed on social media that the 76-year- died the day before. “On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren,” the announcement read. “During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace."Simpson was ultimately acquitted following the 1994 deaths of Brown Simpson and Goldman, which many suspected occurred at Simpson's hands.

The announcement of the verdict was watched by 100 million people in the United States, with Goldman and Brown Simpson's families filing a civil lawsuit against Simpson in 1997, which resulted in a Santa Monica jury finding Simpson liable for the wrongful death of Goldman and battery of both Brown Simpson and Goldman. He was ordered to pay over $33 million in damages as a result of the decision.
