Hosts of daytime talk show "The View" clashed over school choice on Wednesday, with one raising concerns over how such efforts impact public schools.
Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin argued the Trump administration will work to increase investment in school voucher systems as opposed to abolishing the Department of Education, a previous campaign promise of the president-elect. She noted she is a strong supporter of school choice, claiming "your ZIP code" should not "determine your outcome."
Co-host Sunny Hostin quickly jumped in to voice concerns over school choice, placing emphasis on voucher systems. Where do you get the money from vouchers? You pull those money from those poor schools," she continued. "So, wealthy families are overwhelmingly the recipients of school voucher tax credits."
