A co-host of daytime talk show 'The View' on Monday encouraged President Biden to pardon his son, pointing to the recent presidential election as justification.

A co-host of daytime talk show "The View" on Monday encouraged President Joe Biden to pardon his son, Hunter, pointing to the recent presidential election results as justification. Hunter Biden is expected to be sentenced next month in two separate cases.

The president's son will first receive his sentencing for felony gun charges in Delaware before then appearing in a California court to learn his fate in a federal tax case.reporters Thursday President Biden has no plans to pardon his son, nor is he considering a sentence commutation. However, "The View" co-host Ana Navarro suggested President Biden take a different approach, referencing President-elect Donald Trump. "Joe, since they're talking smack about you anyways ... pardon Hunter," Navarro said. "Pardon Hunter because we -- basically, America just pardoned a criminal who was convicted of felon." Navarro then pointed to Trump's 2020 decision to pardon Charles Kushner, the father of his son-in-law and then-senior advisor Jared Kushner. She also speculated that Trump will pardon Jan. 6, 2021 rioters once in office, something he previously said he'd consider if elected. So, you know what? It's your son, he probably wouldn't have been prosecuted if his last name wasn't Biden. Baby, you got two and a half months, I'm good with you pardoning Hunter," Navarro concluded. Trump told radio host Hugh Hewitt during an interview last month that he would be open to pardoning Hunter Biden if elected. "See, unlike Joe Biden, despite what they've done to me, where they've gone after me so viciously ... and Hunter's a bad boy," Trump said at the time. "He's been a bad boy ... But I happen to think it's very bad for our country." In September, a spokesperson for Vice President Kamala Harris's campaign was asked whether the vice president would consider pardoning Hunter Biden if elected president. Ian Sams told NBC News's "Meet the Press" at the time Harris was "not planning to pardon anyone."that Trump reentering the White House would be "the end of America as we've known it." He told Politico his top election-related concern was "losing our democracy to a fascist minority." “I agree with Gen. Mark Milley that Donald Trump is a ‘fascist to the core' ... and the dozens of former Trump aides and cabinet secretaries who say Donald Trump is unfit to serve as commander in chief, and that he should never be allowed to stand behind the seal of the President of the United States again,” Hunter Biden said.
