Democratic Alliance Chief Whip Siviwe Gwarube has told delegates at the party’s Federal Congress that the time has come to remove the ANC government from the Union Buildings. The official opposition is currently holding its national congress at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand. Gwarube says under the current government, the cost of living has risen to unprecedented levels, while the country’s unemployment rate continues to be high.“How can you trust people who have stolen the money from the funeral of former President Nelson Mandela. Understand this government, the cost of living has risen to unprecedented levels, people are dying of starvation. We demand that government slashes the fuel levy and extend the list of zero vat rates goods,” she adds.
