The time for negotiating with construction mafia is over - new KZN public works MEC

Newly appointed KwaZulu-Natal Public Works and Infrastructure MEC Martin Meyer says previous attempts to negotiate with the construction mafia have failed.

On Friday, Meyer told News24 that the time had come for the government to tackle criminality head-on. "You can't negotiate with people who want to break the law, it's impossible. Otherwise, I'm happy to sit at the table with anyone whose behaviour would be restricted to the confines of the law," he stated.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
