The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) and Gold Level Sports and Entertainment (GLSE) announced the return of The Throne, a national high school basketball tournament, in March. Eight of the nation's top boys and girls basketball teams will compete in national championship brackets at The American Dream mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey, from March 27-29. Games will be broadcast on NBA TV, NBA YouTube, and the NBA App.

The event will feature eight of the nation’s top boys and girls basketball teams in national championship brackets. All games will be played in New Jersey at The American Dream mall in East Rutherford. The tournament games will take place from March 27-29. Games will be broadcast on NBA TV, NBA YouTube, and the NBA App. This is the third year of The Throne tournament.
Current and former NBPA members Danny Green, Harrison Barnes, Fred VanVleet, Dwight Howard and Rudy Gay helped start the tournament in 2023. Last year’s tournament featured 5-star Brayden Burries, Duke commits Cameron and Cayden Boozer, Georgia commit Jacob Wilkins and Providence commit Jamier Jones. Camden and Don Bosco Prep both played as club teams in 2024.
“We are so thrilled to continue our vision for The Throne in year three,” Danny Green, three-time NBA Champion and co-founder of GLSE, said in a release. “Having a national competition for the top performing high school teams is certainly something that was missing throughout my high school career. We’re proud to partner with the NBPA to bring this event to life for today’s elite youth athletes.”
