The Texas Rangers need fewer wins than you think to finish job in AL West

The Rangers’ latest surge has them back in the championship conversation.

But the latter now looks highly unlikely. The club’s sweep of the Mariners, combined with the even more shocking, has put the Rangers solidly out front. While their magic number is five, if they go 4-3, they won’t do worse than tie for first.
