The iconic TheTexasChainSawMassacre is coming to 4K Ultra HD next year.
One of the most iconic films in history, 1974's The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, is finally getting the high-definition treatment it deserves and is headed to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray early next year from Dark Sky Films. Part of the appeal of the film from Tobe Hooper is that its gritty and grimy aesthetic offered audiences a more rich sense of realism, only heightening its unsettling impact on audiences.

But the low-budget film was hugely successful, grossing more than $30 million domestically, and is now regarded as one of the best and most influential horror movies. It led to a franchise that continued the story of Leatherface and his family through sequels, prequels, a remake, comic books, and video games.
