The prime minister says he's proud to have kept the same team in place for more than two years, but that today's reshuffle represents 'a significant move forward'.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has announced his new-look ministry in Canberra, the first cabinet reshuffle of his leadership. Tony Burke will become Minister for Home Affairs, Minister for Immigration and Multicultural Affairs, Minister for Cyber Security, Minister for the Arts as well as Leader of the House. Julie Collins is set to become Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, and Minister for Small Business.
In other appointments, Pat Conroy has entered cabinet as Minister for Defence Industry and Capability Delivery, Minister for International Development and the Pacific; Andrew Giles will become minister for Skills and Training, and Senator Jenny McAllister will be Minister for Cities; Minister for Emergency Management. Albanese said he was proud to have gone two years and two months "with precisely the same team in place".
