The Strokes will have a special New Year’s Eve show in their hometown.
have announced a special New Year’s Eve show in their hometown of New York City. The Dec. 31 concert follows the band’s canceled set at Governors Ball Music Festival in June when they were unable to take the stage due to severe weather on Randall’s Island in New York.
The Strokes have teamed up with Governors Ball to provide an exclusive pre-sale for the New Year’s Eve show for fans who purchased 3-day and Sunday passes for the May 31-June 2 event. Governors Ball ticketholders will have first access to the pre-sale beginning Tuesday at 10am ET along with the band’s fan club.
The band has four other live dates scheduled for the remainder of 2019, which are all festival appearances. The New York natives will perform at Electric Picnic in Ireland, Ohana Festival in Southern California, Corona Capital Festival in Mexico and Vivo X El Rock in Peru. General admission tickets for the Barclays Center show in Brooklyn will go on sale Friday at 10am local time.
