Osama Abdelghany, a lead pharmacist working on the project, claims that the van will have the ability to distribute and administer medication, enhancing patients' access to medical therapy. The "Integrated Mobile Opioid Treatment and Infectious disease cOordinated care in your Neighbourhood," also known as "InMOTION," was started by Sandra Springer, a professor of medicine at the Yale School of Medicine, and her team, with the goal of bringing a working pharmacy to people's homes and enhancing access to health care for residents of Connecticut.
Medical vans are equipped with basic medical facilities such as examination rooms, diagnostic equipment, and medical supplies. They can provide services like general check-ups, vaccinations, wound care, and basic treatments.
