The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants director Derek Drymon says the upcoming animated movie will feature nudity.
, Drymon posted about The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants, a new animated film releasing in 2025. “I’m lucky to be working with an incredible crew on the newmovie, releasing in theaters on December 19th 2025! ,” Drymon’s caption reads.In the comments, one fan asked if SpongeBob will be “nekkid” the whole time given the title of the film, to which Drymon responded, “There WILL be nudity.
Plot details remain under wraps at this time; although, in another Instagram post, Drymon confirmed Tom Kenney and Bill Fagerbakke, who voice SpongeBob and Patrick Star, have started recording lines for the film. “A big thrill for me to be working with these two very funny men again,” Drymon wrote.Drymon wrote and was heavily involved in a number of SpongeBob SquarePants episodes.
