So the new design of the Safeway in Georgetown, which used to be known as the “social Safeway” is now the Fort Knox, Safeway.
It’s all fenced off gated if you forget something in your car such as your wallet or cell phone, you have to go through the checkout line out to your car and then back through the gate again a 5-10 mins escape. After check out To get out you have to scan your receipt to get out of the gate. I sure wish the grocery store chain Publix, which has the tagline “Shopping as a pleasure”I wish Safeway, which is owned by Albertson’s Kroger merger they would take note of Publix. If I wanted to shop at Fort Knox. I would expect to buy some gold. On a sidenote, I guess it’s better than going into the store and everything is behind Glass lock shelving nowadays in the district..
