Maybe her nom went to fellow roots artist Bonnie Raitt, who showed up with four total nods the yearthe Grammys gave her a Lifetime Achievement Award. Or, maybe it went to Gayle, a wild surprise in Song for “abcdefu,” an achievement in that it sounds like it was written by an algorithm.
