His post confirms an appearance from the ghost of Mona Simpson, Homer's deceased mother, voiced by Oscar-nominated actor Glenn Close. The upcoming episode marks the character's first time onscreen since season 33, episode 9, which aired on November 28, 2021, and where Close had previously reprised her role.
