Barn jackets are the undisputed outerwear trend of the season, now not only seen in the countryside but also on the streets of our most fashionable cities. One style in particular, however, has been top of every editor and influencer's wish list this autumn/winter, and it comes from high-street favourite Mango. It went viral and flew off the shelves faster than many of us could click 'add to basket', but now it's back and currently still available in all sizes...
But, it looks just as expensive, and we actually prefer the update.Though long championed by forever It girl Alexa Chung, boxy barn jackets became the style set's darling after Prada sent beige and navy iterations down its SS24 runway, paired with sheer skirts for that always cool masculine/feminine clash. We love to wear ours with straight-leg jeans and cosy knits, but you could also throw one over a slip dress or sequin skirt – they're very versatile.
