In New York, according to a report from Business Insider, many providers with symptoms are not being tested, but asked to stay home for just seven days before resuming work. In some cases where a provider tests positive but remains asymptomatic, they've been asked to continue working because our hospitals are already short staffed and operating at their maximum capacity.
