It’s midterm election season, and the San Antonio Report’s election guide is here to answer all your most important questions.
What’s at stake? Nationally, control of the U.S. House and Senate. Closer to home, issues including abortion, immigration and the Uvalde shooting could compel voters to head to the polls. On Nov. 8, Texans will vote in races to elect the governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, comptroller of public accounts and land commissioner, among other offices. Democrats are trying to break the Republicans’ 24-year lock on those statewide offices. And for the first time in more than two decades, Bexar County voters will choose a new county executive .
