The Arizona Republic honor's girls high school tennis players.
She posted another strong season and entered the 2022 state singles tournament as the No. 3 seed, losing in the quarterfinals. She posted a 19-5 record in combined AIA singles and doubles matches and was a major reason the Huskies finished ranked No. 3 in Division I.Cranford is among a host of freshman tennis players who had a quick impact for their teams this season.
Others considered: Kim Dever, Desert Mountain; Jerry Keever, Phoenix Country Day, Laurie Martin, Xavier. How they were chosen: Selections were made by Republic staff based a variety of factors, including individual and team records, rankings and post-season recognition from the AIA based on coach's input, performances in the state championship tournament, and other factors. We recognize that many talented players could be included on the All-Arizona team, as well as among honorable mentions, but limit the main list to 12 while trying to include players from various divisions.
