The ninth Jesse Stone movie reveals that the title character's best friend Reggie the Dog has passed away, which is even more tragic thanks to a behind-the-scenes story. Reggie appeared in seven of the nine Jesse Stone movies, with Tom Selleck's police chief adopting the golden retriever mix after he is found next to the body of his previous owner.
