The Department of Health has also confirmed GP surgeries in Northern Ireland will be closed on Monday due to the Queen's funeral being designated as a bank holiday.The Northern Ireland Executive is understood to be finalising a full list of closures for the exceptional bank holiday. “It is expected that schools should close for this Bank Holiday to mark Her Majesty The Queen’s state funeral,” says a post on NI Direct.It is understood Libraries NI emailed all of its branches on Monday to notify them they will be closing.
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will be laid to rest in a state funeral on Monday, when UK-wide historic sites and National Trust houses, gardens, cafes and shops will also close.
