Buckingham Palace has announced “with regret” that Queen Camilla will be taking a leave of absence from her royal duties due to illness just weeks after the Queen visited Australia .In a statement, Buckingham Palace confirmed the Queen was suffering from a “chest infection” and will rest on medical advice.
During the visit, Camilla and Charles crisscrossed Sydney and Canberra and completed a number of formal engagements, culminating in a fleet review at the Sydney Opera House. Camilla also completed a variety of solo engagements, including visits to the Green Square Library in Zetland to promote literacy and an inner-city food cooperative in Surry Hills.
