has tested positive for Covid, Buckingham Palace has confirmed, with the monarch experiencing"mild cold-like symptoms".
A statement shared on Sunday, 20 February said,"Buckingham Palace confirm that The Queen has today tested positive for COVID." Describing some of The Queen's symptoms, it went on,"Her Majesty is experiencing mild cold-like symptoms but expects to continue light duties at Windsor over the coming week."
The statement added,"She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines." The news comes after it was confirmed that Prince Charles had tested positive for Covid the previous week, on 10 February. It's reported that the Queen and the Prince of Wales had met two days earlier on 8 February.
