Germie Bernard made a highlight-reel catch that earned him a gift from NFL legend Randy Moss.
Alabama finished lifting the other day in preparation for the Rose Bowl when Germie Bernard was presented with a gift. “Ty was like, ‘We’ve got a present for Unc here,’” Bernard said. “I’m like, ‘What’s the present?’”Moss sent Bernard signed white gloves that read “You Got Mossed!” Bernard recently made a catch against Oklahoma in the first round of the College Football Playoff that invoked Moss’ famous phrase from many onlookers.
“I couldn’t let Ty down,” Bernard said. “He trusted me to throw that one-on-one ball. I couldn’t let him down in that moment.”That catch was impressive but also crucial in the second half as the Crimson Tide went on to beat Oklahoma. “I’ve made a few cool catches in my career,” Bernard said. “But that’s definitely at the top. To be able to do that in a critical game at a critical moment, that’s something that you dream for. For that to come true is really, really cool.” Moss an Indiana defensive back, and Bernard’s next present could wind up being a spot in the Peach Bowl, one win away from playing for the national championship.
