Who sends Nella the notes?
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Hulu’s dramedy thriller The Other Black Girl includes an ending that’s as complex as it is compelling. Based on the eponymous novel by Zakiya Dalila Harris, this series follows an editorial assistant named Nella Rogers who starts out as the only Black woman working for Wagner Books.
The storyline between Kendra and Diana in The Other Black Girl shows how someone oppressed can become an oppressor by internalizing messages. In order to get ahead in the book publishing world, Diana makes herself more docile and agreeable. She then decides other Black women need to do the same if they want to succeed, forcing them to use her hair grease. Alternatively, Kendra refuses to conform, choosing to fight for the respect she deserves.
The Sisterhood’s History And Leadership Explained The Sisterhood is the name of the group responsible for trying to make Black women agreeable and successful through the use of brainwashing hair grease. Diana leads the Sisterhood, selects lead conditioners, and gives out assignments. Rather than providing specific information about the structure and history of the organization, The Other Black Girl TV show allows viewers to fill in the blanks.
Who Sends Nella The Notes And Manuscript? Early on, The Other Black Girl sets up a mystery about who’s sending Nella notes and the manuscript. This is one of the few mysteries that never gets explicitly solved. However, in a blink-and-miss-it moment, the series provides the most likely explanation. In the flashback where Kendra goes on the run, she grabs the manuscript and shoves it in her bag. If the person who sent the note also sent the manuscript, it has to be Kendra.
