In what might be the event’s most incomprehensible tradition (besides the copious drinking while running, of course), Bay to Breakers’ centipede teams are required to stay connected — and to wear “twinkie feelers.”
“We chartered a bus to go to Breakers and we wanted to do something crazy, fun, and different. My next recollection is in the auxiliary gym at Davis, ripping up garbage bags, cutting holes in them, and attaching them together with tape.
