Participants are hoping to demonstrate the benefits of naturism and nudism
It's summertime in Britain and the weather gods have recently finally blessed us with warmth and sunshine. And that means one thing: getting naked and going swimming.You read correctly. Across the country, British Naturism and British Heart Foundation have teamed up for the ninth year in a row to host the Great British Skinny Dip - an initiative to get people involved in what they describe as a "healthy and exhilarating way of taking a dip".
In Ravenshead, the Nottingham Sun Club is inviting eager newcomers to join in with the Great British Skinny Dip for a £10 donation to the British Heart Foundation. Their open day is taking place on June 1 at their site in Newstead Abbey Park. In Long Eaton, Spring Lakes Watersports Centre is taking part. Their communal dip is on Thursday - May 16, between 6 and 8pm, with the first swim at 6 and the last at 7.30pm.
