The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Party Wagon is their most iconic accessory from the '90s-era Turtlemania, and it recently got a killer new upgrade.

During the era of Turtlemania in the late ‘80s/early ‘90s, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles saw a number of upgrades made to their costumes, weapons, and–most relevantly here–their vehicles, with their iconic Turtle Van being the most dramatic. However, while Turtlemania may have turned the Turtle Van from a relatively normal van into an epic vehicle that was majorly ‘toyetic’, the current TMNT comics just gave the Party Wagon even more of a killer upgrade.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT In the gritty original black and white TMNT comic book series–where the Turtles were all identical with razor-sharp ninja focus and absolutely no hang-ups about murdering their enemies–the TMNT had a regular, beat up van that they cruised around in. It was nothing special, but they were ninjas, so it didn’t really have to be. But then, the Turtles’ world filled with vibrant color in the form of an all-new animated series.

TMNT’s Party Wagon Can Now Turn Invisible In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #93 by Kevin Eastman, Bobby Curnow, Tom Waltz, and Dave Wachter, the Ninja Turtles are at war with the Shredder’s granddaughter, Oroku Karai, after Splinter refused to hand over command of the Foot Clan to her. So, in an effort to end the bloodshed and capture Karai, the Turtles set a trap using their best Foot Clan ally, Jennika .

This isn’t the first time the Ninja Turtles have used cloaking technology to turn themselves invisible in order to spy on a target. In a previous issue, the Turtles used the cloaking tech stolen from the villainous Street Phantoms to enter the Toad Baron’s Den of Delights unseen to spy on literal gods–and the same tech was used on their Party Wagon.

Not only is the Party Wagon’s upgrade worthy of attention because it’s god-tier, but also simply because it’s proof that the Turtle Van is still being upgraded to this day. The entire life-span of the Party Wagon revolves around epic improvements, from aesthetic to functionality. And now, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' iconic ‘90s van gets yet another enhancement, and it’s arguably the coolest one yet.
