It may be a while before the next Mistborn book comes out, but Brandon Sanderson's Era 3 release plan will make one confirmed change less jarring for readers. The second era of Sanderson's Mistborn saga concluded with The Lost Metal in 2022, but the author has another series planned. He's working on other Cosmere books and new Skyward Legacy novels too, so it will take some time for the next Mistborn installment to hit shelves.
