A £2 ticket to paradise, please
Imagine hopping on the bus for just £2 and being able to enjoy all the views of the Lake District, from Buttermere to Wasdale.
The Buttermere Shuttle Bus will run from Cockermouth Main Street to Buttermere via Lorton every Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday from 13 May to 28 August. If you've ever wanted to explore Buttermere, because who wouldn't, this could be your chance to get out walking without worrying about parking. This is the perfect shuttle for exploring the more western areas of the Lake District. You can walk Wasdale Head or even take a ride on the La'al Ratty while you are there.
“Both Buttermere and Wasdale valleys can get very busy with traffic during peak times so this is an ideal solution to ensure that people really can make the most out of their day.
